ABA Therapy for Children

ABA therapy for children focuses on personalized interventions to develop communication, social, behavioral, and daily living skills. Services are provided in home, community, or center/clinic settings, by a team of behavior technicians and behavior analysts. The goal is to foster positive behaviors, independence, and overall quality of life.

Home-Based Therapy

Research has shown that home-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy is a highly effective personalized approach used to support individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and related developmental disorders in the comfort of their own living space. Working in the individual’s natural environment not only allows therapists to address specific behavioral challenges and teach skills in the home, but it can increase a sense of safety and comfort that facilitates skill acquisition and generalization. Home-based ABA therapy also offers flexibility in scheduling and promotes active participation of family members. At Reaching Hands Behavioral Services, we provide home-based ABA therapy to address areas of need, increase participation of both the child and the family, and improve outcomes for our clients. Our trained behavior technicians work directly with the child in familiar surroundings under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Community-Based Therapy

Reaching Hands’ community-based ABA therapy is delivered in community settings such as public and private schools, daycares, parks, recreational centers, etc. It focuses on integrating and teaching our clients a variety of skills in their communities; leading to reduction of maladaptive behaviors and generalization of skills across different settings and social contexts. Our therapists support your child in the school and/or daycare setting, and other community environments.

Center-Based Therapy

Reaching Hands’ center-based ABA therapy offers a great learning experience in a structured environment designed to reduce distractions and increase focus and attention in session. It involves one-on-one sessions with a trained behavior technician under the supervision of a BCBA. It provides opportunities for social interactions with peers through structured group activities and peer modeling and offers ongoing parent training and support. Our center is equipped with a variety of materials and resources and a team of professionals working collaboratively to ensure a dynamic and engaging learning experience for your child.

What Others Say

“I want to express my gratitude to Sandrine, for her extraordinary and professional work with my daughter for many years. Sandrine was exceptional in therapy and I was able to observe many improvements in my daughter's behavior. To this day, her work continues to positively influence my child and my family. Sandrine is not satisfied with just providing therapy in the home; she also works with the child in the community. She builds a relationship with the child, and, in this way, influences and corrects the behaviors; this has helped my daughter’s development.
